Shuckin and Jivin

If you're in the mood for some shucking and jiving in the most literal sense then be sure to spend some time at the Louisiana Oyster Jubilee this weekend. Among other things, the Jubilee is a food, music and arts festival all done in the great name of the oyster. The highlight of the day is the compilation of what will probably be the largest oyster poboy you'll ever see. It is comprised of multiple poboy variations courtesy of several restaurants around town. The event Saturday, March 10th beginning at 10 am in the 300 block of Bourbon Street. The mile long poboy will be cut up and served at noon.
